This museum is the brainchild of Pranlal Bhogilal and it unveils some of the finest collections of retro vehicles of the world. Its vintage collections not only include cars but also buggies, motorcycles, buses etc. Traditional horse carriages, shooting brakes cars, wooden speedsters of boat tailed are also present here. The museum is spread over land areas of about 100 acres where these cars are stationed in an organized manner. The museum also houses cars such as Grand Open Tourers and Limousines which were used for various royal ceremonious occasions. Majority of these cars were customized as per the requirements of buyers during that time. These cars reflect the perfect craftsmanship of reputed manufacturers like Labaron, Fleetwood, Barker, Hooper Gurney Nutting etc.
Where is it located?
It is situated within the complex of Dastan Estate in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. It will hardly take at least 517 km from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai to reach the place via NH8. From nearest rail station in Surat it will normally take 258 km via NE1 and NH8.
Ideal Visiting Time
The most favorable period to visit the museum is from October to March when the climate is quite pleasant without excessive heat of the sun. The museum is opened everyday from 9 am to 1 pm and again from 2 pm to 9 pm. Visitors have the chance to test drive any of the retro vehicles from wide range of collections at a nominal charge of Rs 500 up till 3.5km.
