The Waghai Botanical gardens situated 2km from the nearest town Waghai is a Natural Park and along with the Bio Diversity Center has a wide range of exotic plants and other plant varieties going into the figures of 1400 species to offer information about. The tourists who have a love for Nature would be interested in long walks to read up on the trees. People can also understand how these plants are required in medicine and food and how much we are dependent on them.
The Waghai National park has inter-connected internal roads spanning a total distance of 7 km. The pathways are lined with diverse varieties of plants and these are named after the species along the roads. There are many regions named after the species like Bamboo, Cactus, Taxonomy, etc. There is a bamboo garden with species like Chinese Bamboo, Beer bamboo of artistic and botanical significance. Just a kilometer from the Park is the Gira falls which originate out from the Kapri tributary and is a must visit from June to November. Exclusive items like deer and bamboo lamp shades are sold out from a private outlet selling facility with products made out of bamboo and chips.

The 24 hectare garden is named after the nearest town Waghai situated at least 2 km from it. The Waghai Garden is a prime garden in Gujarat. The garden is famous for nurturing multiple species of endangered plant species. It was established in 1966 to house 1077 genera of 100 families of plants.
Where is it located?
The Park lies close to National highway 8 and it can be explored by private car services. Public services are also available but they are less convenient. The State transport buses start off from Ahwa which brings tourists to the Dang Forest.
The nearest railway station is Waghai, from where a narrow rail gauge links the country to this park. However, the most convenient station is Bilmora because direct bus services are available. In form of local transport, hired jeeps from Ahwa and organized tours in and outside Saputara by TGCL can also be availed.
