Sri Aurobindo Nivas is one of the places of attractions in Gujarat. It is dedicated in memory of Aurobindo Ghosh who is regarded as a famous philosopher, yogi, patriot and political thinker of the British dominated India. It was previously used as a private bungalow that was later transformed into a museum. The memorial is now maintained by the Sri Aurobindo Society of Baroda. This landmark house which was previously used as the private bungalow had been established in the year of 1890. Materials that were used in constructing this house mainly include mortar and red bricks. At the time of staying in Baroda i.e., from the period of 1894-1906, Aurobindo Ghose used to live in this house to serve the erstwhile ruler of Baroda Sayajirao Gaekwad III as a private secretary. He also used to live in this house when he became English professor as well as the vice principal of the Baroda college during this same period. When he became the most prominent figure of Indian struggle and spiritualism, then this house was flocked with well-known personalities like Sister Nivedita, Bipin Chandra Pal, Lokmanya Tilak and so on. The house is then come to be known as Arvind Nivas which has been transformed into a memorial to honor his memory. Till the period of 1971 the house was the property of the Gujarat government which was later handed over to the Aurobindo Society.

The memorial is situated in the Dandia Bazar area of Baroda and is a well known place to visit in the country. It will roughly take 392 km via NH 8 to reach this place from Jamnagar Airport. From Western Railway line the distance is about 213 km via NE 1.
