The idea of this museum was coined by Deepak Aggarwal for the purpose of providing children valuable global knowledge through the medium of entertainment and fun in the year of 2001. The museum is the first of its kind in the state of Gujarat. The museum was ultimately established to be inaugurated in 2004 by the then deputy prime minister of India Lal Krishna Advani. Presently, it comprises dolls over 1500 with detail description of their nationality. The museum spreads over an area of about 9000 sq ft. Most of these dolls have been manufactured using silver and gold threads, waste papers and rags. The museum is one of the popular travel spots in India as it offers the simplest way of obtaining full information on the cultural heritage of India and other nations of the world.
