Diu overflows with travelers and holiday makers nearly throughout the year largely because of its varied tourist attractions. Lying in close proximity to Diu are numerous spectacular beaches of which the Nagoa Beach happens to be one. One gets a bird’s eye view of the entire beach as well as of the surrounding areas from the Diu Fort and also from the lighthouse housed within the citadel. The Nagoa coast is highly sought after by tourists for its aquatic facilities.
The Nagoa beach spans for approximately 2kms from end to end. One can take a leisurely walk along its shore and feel the calm seabreeze invigorating the senses. Watching the sunset and/or the sunrise also has a great becalming effect. However, to get a 360° view of the coast and the adjacent surroundings, one should scale the Diu Fort or go to the top of the lighthouse situated within the bastion.
The seacoast is lined with palm and hoka trees that add to the splendor of the environs. Water-based sports like jet skiing, banana boating, speed boating, parasailing, and water scooting are also taken advantage of by visitors. There are numerous other beaches in the vicinity that you can head to including the Ghogha Beach, Gomati Mata Beach, Khodidhar Beach, Jallandhar Beach, and the Chakratirth Beach.
Tourists can round off their Diu itinerary by visiting the Diu Museum, Gangeshwar Temple, Jallandhar Shrine, St. Paul’s Church, Panikota Fortress, and the Naida Caves close to Jallandhar Beach.
